The Church Mice service has changed from the afternoon slot to a morning. Muddles baby & toddler group will meet from 10am - 11.30am in The Link followed by Church Mice from 11.30am - 12 noon in the Church. Greetings from Sierra Leone. Following the successful appeal, the Bibles, most of them from this church, are now in use in the village of Bo. A letter of thanks is on the Notice Board. Please read it. Chris Weller.

Ashton Methodist Church Coffee Morning Saturday 29th November 10.00am - 1.00pm includes a soup lunch, coffee and Bring & Buy. This is the last one of the year so do go along and meet friends old and new.

Cards for Good Causes. A Multi-Charity Christmas Card Shop. 10.00am - 4.00pm Mon - Sat until 29th November at Tarporley Baptist & Methodist Church, High Street Tarporley.

You are warmly invited to the Christmas Tree Festival at Norley Methodist Church starting on Friday November 28th. ‘Grand Lighting Up Ceremony’ at 6pm - Festival remains open until 9pm. Saturday November 29th open from 10am – 5pm, ending at 4pm – 5pm with ‘A Big Christmas Sing’. Sunday November 30th open from 12noon to 4pm with a ‘Closing Service’ led by Mr John Bell. Admission free, Programmes £2, Refreshments. (See poster on Notice Board)

Christmas Coffee Morning Wednesday December 3rd 10.30am - 12noon in The Link. There will be Christmas cards for sale and a Christmas-themed Bring & Buy Stall - cakes, decorations, a stall for Romania, small gifts etc. Proceeds will go to Ethiopia Link so come and join us for coffee, fruit punch and festive refreshments, ..... and please bring your friends!

On Saturday 6th December, at 7.00pm, a concert is being held at St. Paul’s Church to raise money jointly for a cancer charity and the church organ restoration fund. The concert will be given by John Bromley who used to live and work in this area as a music teacher, until he moved to Cumbria 20 years ago. Programmes are £6 and can be purchased at the door. Please try to support this event. Further details are on the Notice Board or from Chris Weller.



PS. If you are going to buy special Christmas issue stamps for posting your Christmas cards, the Post Office have produced two options. One option depicts the Madonna and Child , the other is a set of pantomime characters. We have discovered that unless you specifically ask for the Madonna and Child stamps*, you will, as a matter of course, be given the pantomime set. *The Madonna of Humility by Lippo di Dalmasio on the 1st class stamp, while the 2nd class stamp features William Dyce's Madonna and Child.
